The PL-2000T delivers a full optical transport solution of up 800G capacity in a pay-as-you-grow architecture. The PL-2000T fits 200G metro and 100G long haul applications, provides the full demarcation point between the 100GbE/OTU4 service and the uplink DWDM/OTN side, and is interoperable with any third party switch or router. This provides full visibility and performance monitoring of both line optical transport layer (OTN) and 100GbE or OTU4 service interfaces.

Flexible Design

The PL-2000T is a modular and cost-effective solution for rolling out 100GbE services or increasing existing network capacity. The device has four 200G pluggable optical modules, delivering up to 800G in a 1U chassis, and enabling pay-as-you-grow architecture. The device integrates mux/demux, EDFAs for increasing the link budget, and optical switch for protection, keeping power consumption low, saving rack space, and keeping costs down. 

Powerful Feature Set

The PL-2000T has three operation modes: 8QAM and 16QAM for 200G metro, and DP-QPSK 100G for long haul. The support and flexible selection of these modulation modes enables using the same device for multiple applications in the network, such as alien wavelength applications, last mile access/aggregation CPE for 100GbE managed services, high capacity DCI for enterprise, and encrypted communication for 100GbE protocols.

The PL-2000T has field-replaceable parts such as PSUs, fan unit, 200G pluggable drawers and pluggable optical modules.
