Cost-effective high capacity transport solution with integrated Layer-1 encryption

Using a single 200G coherent CFP2 16QAM uplink attains 200G capacity over a single DWDM wavelength within the C-band spectrum, reaching spectral efficiency up to 96 x 200G DWDM channels sharing the same fiber, over a distance of 600 km, using PacketLight's high-performance inline amplification solution. Which complies with the most challenging traffic demands of today's enterprise DCI markets.

The consequential total available capacity of 200G per single wavelength is 19.2T of traffic per pair of fibers, over 96 channels. The 200G multi-protocol multi-rate solution builds optical transport networks with integrated Layer-1 optical encryption configured per client or uplink, providing secure high capacity transport over a single wavelength. The solution is modular and enables easy and cost-effective service rollout or expansion of existing network capacity. The solution is easily scalable from 10G, 40G to 100G client interfaces without requiring hardware replacement, supporting both current and future services and applications.

The solution supports a flexible mix of 10/40/100Gb Ethernet, 8G/16G/32G FC, STM64/OC192, OTU2/OTU2e/OTU3/OTU4 client service protocols in various muxponder and transponder operation modes, combining different protocols and rates over a single 200G coherent OTN uplink.

PacketLight's 200G solutions are standards-based ITU-T G.709 with forward error correction (FEC) GFEC/HDFEC/SDFEC, and are interoperable with any OTN standards-based third party client and network.

The solution enables transport of 20x10G over a single wavelength, so organizations do not need to replace existing 10G infrastructure in order to increase capacity and improve network efficiency. The platform allows various muxponder and transponder operation modes, mixing different protocols and rates over a single uplink. It also supports up to two integrated optical amplifiers and an optical switch for diverse fiber path protection, providing the full optical layer solution in a single 1U device.

PacketLight's 200G solutions are low power consumption and the 1U footprint (which is the smallest currently in the market), drives significant reduction in CAPEX and OPEX for businesses and carriers.
