Business Continuity over CWDM / DWDM Infrastructure
In today's high bandwidth organisation, it is not uncommon to have dark fiber linking two sites, but on many occasions, this high capacity link is only being used for one or two services.With the PL-400 and PL-1000, this one link can be used for up to 8 services of CWDM or DWDM (per unit), each capable of speeds from 2Mb to 10Gb.

Business Continuity Services using SONET / SDH
Carriers with existing SONET / SDH networks can now offer Business Continuity data services to their customers via their existing SONET / SDH networks over long distances with PacketLight's PL-100. This has the potential to offer the carrier a new revenue stream with very low CapEx and OpEx and a fast ROI potential.
The PL-100 allows for high bandwidth synchronous applications to be provided over long distances using PacketLight's Buffer Credit flow control system, and enables the carrier to offer flexible bandwidth allocation from speeds of 2Mb to 2.5Gb.
